Mashatile says ‘it’s too early’ to talk about who will succeed Ramaphosa

– ANC deputy president Paul Mashatile says there’s discipline, above everything else, in the government of national unity.

The party celebrated the first 100 days of the new government in office.

The GNU was formed after the ANC suffered a major electoral decline in 29 May elections.ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa spoke at a programme reflecting on the 100 days of the government of national unity on Monday.

ANC Treasurer General Gwen Ramokgopa shared her thoughts on the progress of the national government of unity following his address.

She said despite differences between political parties, the GNU is still holding.

In his address, President Cyril Ramaphosa acknowledged ideological differences between parties within the GNU.ANC President Cyril Ramaphosa will reflect on the 100 days of the government of national unity (GNU) next Monday. 

This is according to ANC secretary-general, Fikile Mbalula, who briefed the media on Tuesday after a national working committee meeting the previous day.

“This coming Monday at 6pm, here outside Luthuli House, the ANC will do reflections of the first 100 days of government that it is leading. The president of the ANC will speak,” said Mbalula. 

Addressing the media at the party’s headquarters, Mbalula said the party will use the occasion to extend its gratitude to six million South Africans who voted for the party on 29 May this year.
