What a Super Carnival

Joburg Super Kings brought the vibes to The Wanderers on January 11, hosting a successful fan carnival that turned the iconic ground into a full-blown celebration. With the Super Kings squad in attendance, fans were treated to a day packed with music, fun games and interactive activities, creating an electric atmosphere. The carnival stage came alive with power-packed performances by Booshle, Daliwonga and Kurt Darren, keeping the energy high throughout the day. Faf du Plessis, Joburg Super Kings captain, said: Nice to be out here with the fans and spend time with them and nice to see singers performing. The atmosphere is nice – the fans can feel what it’s like to be on the ground. Few of the players are singing and dancing, coming out of their comfort zones. Great to see the guys having a good time. Thanks Joburg for coming out. The support right through the season has been incredible. From families and young fans to passionate supporters, the JSK Carnival offered something for everyone, giving fans a chance to get closer to their favourite players while soaking in a festival-style experience. The event reflected Joburg Super Kings’ commitment to making matchdays bigger, louder and more memorable for their fans. Stephen Fleming, Joburg Super Kings coach, said: Amazing to have so many people
come and support us. The support we get from people of Johannesburg means a lot. The players are delighted to be here in such a great turnout. You don’t see the players singing and dancing in public, they’re trying their best too! Thank you, Joburg, for the support. The overwhelming response and buzz around the ground underlined the growing connection between Joburg Super Kings and its supporters, as the franchise continues to blend cricket, entertainment and community into one unforgettable experience.
