Ekasi Champ of Champs
In the heart of Mabopane, Tshwane, where the sound of vuvuzelas meets the rhythm of community football, Ladysmith Juventus FC carved their name into history. The KwaZulu-Natal outfit triumphed at the 2025 DStv eKasi Champ of Champs, outlasting Mudagasi FC in a tense final decided by penalties.
Juventus emerged victorious 2-0 in the shootout after a fierce goalless draw, earning not only bragging rights but also the R250,000 winner’s cheque. The week-long tournament, played at the vibrant West B ground, once again proved why eKasi football remains the pulse of South African grassroots development — passionate, raw, and unforgettable.
The event attracted thousands of spectators over eight days, transforming the local venue into a cauldron of colour, sound, and energy. The intensity on the field was matched only by the singing and cheering from the sidelines, driving players to produce football of the highest township calibre.
