Set to take place at the iconic Joburg Theatre, the event promises to be a celebration of one of South Africa’s most influential musical voices.

Masekela, affectionately known as “Bra Hugh,” remains a towering figure in jazz and the broader cultural landscape, with his music continuing to inspire generations.

The tribute show will feature a strong lineup of celebrated performers, including Vusi Mahlasela, Judith Sephuma, Tresor, Zoë Modiga, as well as the Baobab Sisters and iComplete. Together, they are expected to deliver a powerful and heartfelt homage to Masekela’s timeless catalogue.
