Festival of youth opportunities comes to the Vaal

All roads lead to the 5 High-Impact days  Empowayouth’s Vaal Empowayouth Week 2026 at Koinonia Bible Church Sebokeng zone 14 from the 20th till the 24th of April 2026, 8am – 3pm for the Unemployed Graduates, Matriculants, Job-seekers, Entrepreneurs and NEET (Not in Employment, Education and Training) youth.  This 5 day economic activation is built to move young people from waiting to work, study or start something to various opportunities.  This promise to be a Launchpad connecting ambition to opportunity, talent to markets and potential to real economic outcomes.  The expected attendance 10 000+ youth with +- 2000 per day.

THE VAAL NEEDS EXECUTION, NOT ANOTHER CONVERSATION

This economic activation designed to confront youth unemployment in the Vaal head-on by connecting the youth directly to real opportunities in the fastest growing economic sectors in South Africa and abroad.  The Vaal is one of South Africa’s youngest regions, one of its most economically under-utilised and the poorest in the province.  Thousands of young people are ready to work, build and contribute, yet too many remain locked out of jobs, skills pathways, funding and markets.  This is not a lack of ambition, it’s a lack of access.  When Vaal youth are activated, industries grow, markets expand and communities stabilize.

Key elements of the week are 200+ Strategic Partners, 100+ High-Impact key notes & Power Dialogues delivering bold ideas and catalytic insights, 40+ Experiential Zones for Future-Facing activations, Employment Hubs for real time Job Matching and Placements, Demo Labs showcasing new tools and innovations, Pop-Up Platforms featuring Start-Ups, Skills Accelerators for CV Building and Work Readiness, Live Entertainment & Cultural Activations featuring Local Talent and Creative showcases, Creative Labs for Digital Story-telling & Content Creation, Career Clinics providing Coaching & Mentorship & Pathways to Employment and Pitch Platforms connecting ready to scale Entrepreneurs with Funders.
